Star Health Insurance Ties-up With Bank of Baroda

Star Health Insurance and Bank of Baroda entered into a corporate agency agreement to market Star Health products across the public sector bank’s branches across the country. PFRDA is planning a nation-wide training programme for all government and non-government nodal offices primarily to increase the awareness and expand the reach of NPS across India. Nearly Rs. 43,000 crore is lying in inoperative employee’s provident fund accounts, the government said on Monday, adding that interest would be credited to such accounts.Government is working on a scheme to provide low-cost housing to more than five crore subscribers of retirement fund body EPFO; the Parliament was informed on Monday. 


It is renewal time for the Modi government’s low-cost life and accident insurance schemes, launched last year. About 12.50 crore policies subscribed under the schemes will be automatically renewed if the bank accounts have the required balance.The implementation of the crop insurance scheme in the country is crucial as there has been a steady rise in the suicide of farmers. Currently, 20 percent of the farmers and 23 percent of total cropped area in the country has been insured.
