The Department of Information and Public Relations, in the association with Suvarna Arogya Trust and the Department of Health and Family Welfare, is set to take out a special awareness drive on the health benefits offered to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled
Tribes in Sakleshpur taluk. The campaign will begin on Wednesday and continue till Sunday. H.K. Kumaraswamy, MLA from Sakleshpur, will inaugurate the campaign. Five specially designed vehicles will travel across the taluk to convey information on schemes such as Vajpayee Arogyasri, Rajeev Arogya Bhagya, National Health Insurance Scheme and Jyoti Sanjeevini.
On Monday, R. Venkatesh Kuamr, CEO of Hassan Zilla Panchayat, held a meeting with officials of the department concerned. The six-day campaign is expected to cover 60 villages in the taluk.Vinod Chandra, senior assistant director of Information and Public Relations, R. Venkatesh, District Health Officer, and other attended the meeting.
