Everyone gets affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and everyone just try to survive at that time, once again this advanced world seemed like a joke, because as far as we know this world nothing is impossible, but till the arrival of the vaccine of Covid-19, lakhs of people had lost their lives.
Covid-19 did nothing to this world but it destroys the setback of every country and today every country just trying to make a comeback and coming back is never easy for anyone. Covid-19 just pushes the world back, because Covid-19 we have to fight double with time, and still Covid-19 has not stopped. There is news coming related to Covid-19 is that anticipating the arrival of the third wave of Covid-19 and it’s too scary for people and for humanity too.
What are the Adverse Effects of Spreading of COVID-19 in India?
In the Wuhan city, coronavirus outburst in China. India is the most populated country in the world and strikes the highest number of presumed cases in India, first being reported in the state of Kerala. The WHO provides regular coronavirus updates as and when new information becomes available. Since there is no such known cure for this coronavirus disease, standard practices to prevent the spread of infection and care of those who are diagnosed have been recommended.
Masses of people being suspected of the cases of coronavirus have been tested, resulting in 500 above confirmed coronavirus cases in India. Coronavirus quarantine measures have been reported in Maharashtra. The measures include the closure of malls, gyms, movie theatres, and swimming pools.
Two cases were proclaimed in Nagpur, Maharashtra, on 13 March. An employee of Google in Bangalore tested positive on 13 March, COVID-19 positive case was confirmed in Noida on the same day as well.
The first demise due to coronavirus in India was reported in Karnataka on 12 March.
As of 18 March 2020, the Health Ministry in India has confirmed 147 diagnosed cases and nine deaths due to coronavirus in India. Known in medical terms as COVID-19, the coronavirus outbreak has so far infected more than 200,000 people worldwide and resulted in 8000 deaths, according to figures provided by the WHO.
Decisions have been withdrawn by the Ministry
- The Indian Government has decided to quarantine itself from the rest of the world until 15 April in the wake of growing coronavirus cases in the country. It has suspended all visas with the exception of those for diplomatic, UN, or international bodies, official, and employment purposes.
- The WHO declared the Covid-19 outbreak a ‘pandemic’.
- The cabinet secretary has proclaimed that all states and union territories must invoke provisions of Section 2 of the Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897, as per which all advisories emanate by the Union health ministry and state governments are imposable.
- Ministry of External Affairs advised against conducting the IPL matches, which are slated to begin on 29 March, to contain the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
- Kerala assembly passes a congruent resolution against the Centre’s circular stopping the entry of Indians from Covid-19-impacted countries. The circular was termed as ‘inhuman’ and ‘cruel’.
- Three hundred swabs of Indians in Iran are constructed to be positive for COVID-19 coronavirus. There are more than 6,000 Indians stranded in various parts of Iran. Of this, 1,100 are pilgrims from the union territories of Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir, and the state of Maharashtra; 1,000 are fishermen from Kerala, Gujarat, and Tamil Nadu; and 300 are students from Jammu and Kashmir, and the remaining are pursuing their livelihood.

Who is at Risk?
Coronavirus risk is heightened in:
- Elderly population
- Persons with other non-related serious health conditions such as coronary heart disease, diabetes, chronic lung, and respiratory diseases.
- Since this virus has been discovered only in late 2019, people with active health insurance policies are anxious about whether their insurance covers the treatment of this disease.
- The IRDA (Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority) of India has issued new guidelines for insurance companies to address these concerns. According to a statement issued, “Where hospitalization is covered in a product, insurers shall ensure that cases related to coronavirus disease (Covid-19) shall be expeditiously handled.” Strict instructions have been issued to health insurers against rejecting coronavirus coverage claims.
- Your claim is limited by the maximum sum assured by your policy.
- It may not be accepted if you are not hospitalized for at least 24 hours.
- Claims may not be settled if the disease is declared as an epidemic or pandemic by the WHO if such claims are excluded by your insurance policy. According to reliable sources, most health insurance policies cover epidemics and pandemics, though a few may have clauses that don’t. It’s prominent to read your policy thoroughly and get in touch with your insurer as soon as possible.
- If you have bought a health insurance policy recently, coronavirus claims may not be settled in case you avail of planned treatment for symptoms like cold, cough, fever, etc., and the disease is diagnosed as Covid-19.
- Recent policyholder claims may not be settled if they contract the disease within the policy waiting period.
- If you or your family has traveled to a coronavirus-infected country, and you contract the disease through this route, your claim may not be settled by some insurers. However, other health insurance providers have clarified that the travel history or family history of the claimant will not impact the policy or the claims process.
- If you need to travel abroad, it’s wise to buy insurance that offers coverage against this particular viral disease and check the exceptions.
