I have group insurance policy from my company but after reading above difference between group and individual policy i feel to take my personal policy too ,but my doubt is at the time of claim which should i claim ?

It is important to have a personal health insurance policy as group insurance policy is valid till the time you are employed with that employer where as personal health insurance policy will be with you always irrespective of the company you are employed. As far as claim is concerned, it is advisable to claim from the group health insurance policy first.The group health policies do not offer any no claim bonus (NCB) where as personal health insurance policies does offer that benefit.If you claim from personal health insurance policy despite having a group health policy it will nullify your no claim bonus for that policy year.
Obviously, nobody wants to think of those situations but it it better to think about them now than later. Life is uncertain and nobody knows what will happen in near future. Thus the best time to seize the oppurtinity is now
